Togo exempts Adebayo from 2014 World Cup qualifier team
Togo has left out national football team captain Emmanuel Adebayor from the list of 25 players invited in preparation for the match against DR Congo.
The match scheduled for between Sept. 6 and Sept. 8 is among the final series of second round matches in the African qualifiers for the 2014 World Cup.
Goalkeeper Kossi Agassa of Reims in France and Alaixys Romao of Marseille,also in France, are equally not on the list.
The full list has Baba Tchagouni (Dijon,France), Mawugbé Atsu (Maranatha, Togo) and N’Guissan Djehani (Dyto, Togo) as goalkeepers.
The defenders are Dare Nibombé (RDBD, Belgium), Sadat Ouro-Koriko (Free State Stars, South Africa), MamahGaffar (Dacia FC, Moldova), Serge Akakpo (Zilana FC, Slovenia) and Vincent Bossou (FC Saigon, Vietnam).
Other defenders are Kokou Donu (Maranatha, Togo) Dakonam Djene (Coton Sport, Cameroon) and Emmanuel Mathias (Mamelodi Sundowns, South Africa).
The midfielders include Komlan Amewou (Nimes, France), Moustapha Salifou who is without a club, Dové Wome (Mamelodi Sundowns, South Africa) and Kodjo Amétépé (FC Mounana, Gabon).
Other midfelders are Sapol Mani who is also without a club, Farid Zato (Vikingur Olafsvik, Iceland) and Lalawele Atakora (Balıkesirspor, Turkey).
The strikers are Serge Gakpe (Nantes, France), Kalen Damessi (Lille, France), Mémé Fessou Placca (Agaza, Togo) andJonathan Ayité (Brest, France).
The rest of the strikers are Claude Koutob (Anges FC, Togo) Aloènouvo Backer (Stade Gabésien, Tunisia) and Francis Koné (Sporting Clube Olhanense, Portugal).
