Tosin Oke, Women's 4X400 Relay Team Take Stage

Triple jumper, Tosin Oke, and the women's 4x400m relay team will be in action this morning as the IAAF World Championships reach the home straight.

Oke, whose form this season has been anything but impressive qualified to compete here following his status as the reigning African champions. He has been drawn in the first qualifying group and will need to jump above the 17.05m qualification mark set by the IAAF or be among the best 12 jumpers to make his first final after crashing out at this stage in his first two appearances at the championships in 2009 and 2011.He holds a season's best of 16.81m which he achieved indoors and does not look to be in the form that can change his fortune this time around.

The women's 4x400m team will likely suffer the same fate the men's team suffered yesterday following the expected absence of Ajoke Muizat Odumosu who is nursing an hamstring injury.

The team, led by Regina George, the 400m semi-finalist holds a 3:28.43 season's best which, if repeated here will not get it beyond the semi-final
